Suseonsa Temple[4k]

I am Buddist monk, Moo Yeo. I visited Suseonsa Temple.
Suseonsa Temple is located in Sancheong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea.

영상 후원계좌 : 국민은행, 권지영, 856901-00-051941
무여스님TV : Nice to meet you. Beautiful temple trip, I will start today with a joyful and happy heart.

Today is a good day to travel to the Susunsa Temple because the wind is breezy and the sun is so good.

I remember visiting the Susunsa Temple at the foot of Jirisan Mountain once before, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you'll see today.

This is Susunsa Temple in Sancheong, Gyeongsangnam-do.

It says Susunsa Temple, and on the back, it says “Namu Amitabul”.

Mind-controlled writing

Blessings come from frugality, virtue from modesty, Wisdom comes from thought in silence.

Worry comes from lust; disaster comes from material greed. Fault comes from flippancy, and sin from the unbearable.

Watch your eyes, don't look at other people's faults. You will see beauty.

Be careful not to say silly things, try to say good words, the right words, soft words, beautiful words.

Be careful not to make bad friends.
Keep the good friends close.

Respecting one's elders and supporting the virtuous. Follow the wise and forgive the ignorant generously.

Don't refuse to come, don't hold on to going.
Don't blame others for not being treated me well.

When you harm someone, disaster comes back to you. If you jump on the bad bandwagon, you will suffer from disaster.

Buddhists! read this article and keep it in mind.

“Let me have a talk with you here, the chief monk of Susunsa Temple.”

"It's nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you, Sunim! Please introduce yourself."

"I'm the chief monk, Yeo-kyoung who lives in a valley on Mount Jiri, decorating a small garden-like temple."

"At the entrance of the temple, there's a pond, and it also says 時節人蓮. How did you come to make a pond?"

This is the lower part of the temple, there is the temple on the upper part.

The entire site of this temple was originally rice paddies.

The temple was completed by purchasing rice paddies owned by 11 people for 30 years.

There's a place where the spring water rises
behind the Hall of Utmost Bliss,

So I collected flowing water to make a pond and planted lotus flowers, a symbol of Buddhism.

I made it because I liked having a pond in the temple.

I do not use the meaning of the Chinese characters, “If we are meant to meet again, we will meet somehow at sometime in life”.

So I changed it to the Chinese characters that emphasize the relationship between people and lotus flowers.

A lot of people helped me build this bridge.

The relationship with trees and stones is not easy to me.

The wood on this bridge is the Korean chestnut tree.

The Korean chestnut tree doesn't rot.

The tree looks better as time goes by.

The advantage of the tree is that it does not rot in water.

This kind of tree is hard to find.

It's okay for hundreds of people to step on this tree.

The squeaking sound of the tree is interesting.

I think it is a beautiful pond 365 days a year.

The place where the lotus flowers have fallen is also beautiful.

There is a waterwheel next to the pavilion, and it is the same material as the tree we are stepping on.

It is the Korean chestnut tree that does not rot in the water.

If you look at the ceiling of the pavilion, it's made by cutting it into wood.

The tree used to make the ceiling is a tree of heaven.

The temple and this building are completely different in shape.

When the pond was made and many people came, I thought I should make a place for people to stay.

So we built a concrete structure.

The pond and the building have been harmonized, making it a place that is not awkward at all.

This is the biggest room where we can get together and have a meeting.

This building has 1 big room and 4 small rooms.

Each room has a bathroom.

The space you saw earlier is the space that leaves this building.

This is a place where you can drink tea.

The cafe where people can drink coffee is on the rooftop.

The cafe's name is 'Coffee and Flower Places'.

If anyone sits down, I hope it becomes a beautiful place like a flower.

Coffee is popular these days, and many people are looking for coffee, so I made it in the rooftop.

It's like a bridge between the mundane world and the supra-mundane world.
It also symbolizes the East and the West.

This is a Western building, and if you cross the bridge, you will find a traditional Oriental building.

On this side, there is jazz music in the modern building, and on the other side, there is a gentle sound of Buddha chanting though the Darma Hall.

Thank you Hyunjin Sunim, the chief priest of Mayasa Temple, for making a surprise appearance.

Hi, Hyunjin Sunim. Nice to meet you.^^

Behind the Hall of Utmost Bliss, there is a spring water in front of Samseonggak Shrine and goes through this pond to the waterwheel.

It is important to take good care of mind in the temple.
I used stones in the pond to make Chinese characters meaning the citta.

The pond stores all the spring water so surrounded circumstances are pleasant.

This stone pagoda is made of stone from Namsan Mountain in Gyeongju.

Seokgatap (Sakyamuni Pagoda) of Bulguksa Temple in Gyeongju was built from the stones of Namsan Mountain.

This stone pagoda is more than 15 years old, and Buddha's holy sarira is also enshrined inside.

The Hall of Utmost Bliss is the late Goryeo style of a gable roof.

The Hall of Utmost Bliss was made by referring to Daeungjeon Hall of Sudoksa Temple and Daeungjeon Hall of Muwisa Temple of Gangjin.

Most of the wood used in the Hall of Utmost Bliss was made of the red pine trees. As the Guksajeon Shrine of Songgwangsa Temple, Suncheon enshrined 16 national preceptors, I also built a 16 pyeong-sized Dharma Hall.

The name of this temple is Susunsa, which contains the meaning of Buddhist monk Jinul of Songkwangsa Temple who organized the Susun association.

The main Buddha is a wooden Amitabha Buddha.

Due to the Buddhists have a lot of faith in Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, I enshrined Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva and Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva on the left and right of Amitabha Buddha.

The candlesticks are all specially made.

The Buddhist altar and the Dharma seat also are painted as a lacquer that is good for removal of insects and moisture removal.

All the paintings in the Dharma Hall were painted by the leading monk painter Seokjeong.

A Buddhist painting of Buddha giving a sermon is a work of the leading monk painter Seokjeong.

This altar was created by the person who made the Buddhist altar at Naksansa Temple.

The Dharma Hall is the high-spirited place in the Susunsa Temple.

The leading monk painter Seokjeong made paintings of Samseonggak Shrine.

The Mountain Spirit, the Spirit of the Big Dipper, and the Pratyeka-Buddha is enshrined in Samseonggak Shrine.

This is where the spring water comes from in front of Samseonggak Shrine.

This water is used as pond water as well as drinking water.

The water comes out nonstop.

Just by looking at Susunsa Temple, I think it's same as the Dharma.

I hope many people come and feel comfortable. Thank you~^^

Until now, you have toured the beautiful Susunsa Temple in Sancheong, Gyeongsangnam-do.

I thought it was a good temple to stay for a long time.

Thank you so much for your beautiful temple trip.

I'll be back with a better video next time.

Have a nice day.~

Subscribe and like give me a lot of strength.^^
